Killarney crash: Woman trapped in vehicle, biker injured

Police, paramedics and firefighters have been called to a serious crash in the Southern Downs where a person is trapped in their vehicle.

A woman is trapped in her vehicle after she crashed into a tree at Killarney.

Police, firefighters and paramedics were dispatched to the incident at the intersection of Border and Winterflood roads about 2.40pm on Wednesday.

They arrived to find a woman aged in her 60s with no obvious injuries.

Queensland Fire Department firefighters are working to free the patient before paramedics can make a full assessment of her condition.

In an unrelated matter a male motorcyclist, also aged in his 60s, has come off his bike on Toowoomba-Cecil Plains Rd at Wellcamp, about 2.45pm.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the man has suffered what appear to be minor chest injuries.

Both crashes have affected the flow of traffic and motorists are advised to avoid the areas.
