A mother-daughter duo will bring festive cheer this Saturday with their annual Christmas concert, raising funds for cancer patients.

The much beloved Toowoomba Christmas concert Christmas Together, hosted by Kreation Music, will return on Saturday with all proceeds going to support cancer wellness centre Hope Horizons.

Featured in this year’s line-up are local talent Toowoombells Handbell Choir, Bell’Amore, Amity Quartet, Akash Rooney, David Hedges and Camillo Lanzafami Jr – just to name a few.

“It’s all local artists which we are very proud of,” production manager and Kreation Music co-founder Leanne Midgley said.

“One of the things we really wanted to do with Christmas Together was give local artists the chance to perform – make a good quality concert, but also make it affordable for audiences.”

For the past five years, Ms Midgley has produced Christmas Together in Toowoomba with her daughter, trained opera singer Cassie Midgley – who will also be gracing the stage on Saturday.

“We have always been a musical family enjoying piano, singing, choral work, guitar and that sort of thing,” Ms Midgley said, adding husband Warren will be returning to MC for the first time since they began in 2020.

“All the things that we’ve learned over the years, I suppose, have brought us back to this point; this was the goal and we’re achieving it this year.

“We want it to be a big lounge room really; a place we can all get together, sit and enjoy some music.”

From Christmas classics to singalong carols and jingle jives, there is something for everyone this year.

“We’ve got some favourite Christmas songs as well as the more traditional carols performed in a few different ways, and even a couple of fun, surprise comedy pieces,” Ms Midgley teased.

Christmas Together kicks off on Saturday, December 6 from 2pm at the Middle Ridge Uniting Church Auditorium.

Entry prices range from $20-$25 per ticket with kids able to enjoy for free.

Tickets are available online at www.trybooking.com/1479009 or at the door.
