Woolworths truck hits traffic light, crashes into Deception Bay homes

A Woolworths delivery truck has crashed into two houses north of Brisbane, with debris from one of the buildings trapping the driver.

A Woolworths delivery truck has crashed into several houses north of Brisbane, leaving the driver trapped.

Emergency services were called to the crash at Lipscombe Rd, Deception Bay at 5.45pm on Friday.

Initial information suggests the Woolworths delivery truck crashed into a traffic light and then crashed into two houses, causing structural damage.

According to a Queensland Fire Department spokesman, the driver was stuck in the vehicle due to debris that had fallen from one of the houses, before being freed about 7.25pm.

According to Queensland Ambulance Service, two people were assessed and both were in a stable condition.

Workplace Health and Safety Queensland has been notified of the incident.
