A woman has survived a car crash into a power pole with only minor injuries, despite the car being half-suspended off the ground.

Queensland Police are still on scene waiting for Ergon to arrive, as the pole is now angled causing a potential safety hazard.

One lane is expected to be closed while the pole and surrounding wires are examined, and the car removed, according to police.

A police spokesman said people should avoid the area if possible, and the clean up is expected to take an hour.
