Woman critical after being hit by a bus at Burpengary

A woman in her 20s has suffered life-threatening head injuries after being hit by a bus north of Brisbane.

A woman has been taken to hospital in a life-threatening condition after being struck by a bus in a Moreton Bay suburb on Tuesday morning.

Paramedics were called to the intersection at Axis Court and Old Gympie Road at Burpengary following reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle shortly before 7am.

The pedestrian, a woman believed to be aged in her 20s, sustained a serious head injury and shoulder injuries in the crash.

She was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical condition.

No other patients were treated at the scene.
