Two women hurt, one seriously, in two-vehicle crash at Fernvale

Two women were hurt, including one who suffered potentially life-threatening injuries, in a rural two-vehicle crash Saturday night.

Two women were injured in a two-vehicle crash on Saturday night in Fernvale, with one of the women sustaining significant, potentially life-threatening injuries in the accident.

Emergency services were called to the intersection on Brisbane Valley Highway and Millar Road at 11.33pm after the two vehicles collided.

Two patients were assessed, with a woman in her 20s suffering significant potentially life-threatening head and chest injuries, while the second woman, aged in her 60s, had chest and facial injuries.

Queensland Ambulance Service said one of the women were trapped in the wreckage.

Both were later taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital.
