An SUV has gone up in flames outside a Logan Tobacco shop, with police treating it as suspicious.
The blaze was outside Tobacco & Cigar at Springwood Mall on Fitzgerald Avenue, Springwood, and happened around 1am Monday.
It is understood authorities may investigate whether the business was rammed, with the shop damaged but not by fire.
The Queensland Fire Department said three crews attended a row of shops on Fitzgerald Avenue.
“A SUV nearby was located on fire, but the fire had not spread through the shops. We are still assisting police,” A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said.
Police said it was too early to determine what the shop damage was from but also confirmed it was not damaged by the fire.
Police are investigating the cause of the blaze and are appealing for anyone with relevant dashcam/CCTV footage to come forward.
