A stolen car has rammed into two vehicles early on Anzac Day in an inner city Brisbane street with residents saying the “loud” bangs were “startling”.

Police were called to a Bulimba street at 6am on Anzac Day to report a stolen car had driven into two parked cars.

The Investigation is underway as police look for at least two of the alleged offenders.

Mary Pavlou said she woke up to her loud bangs only to look at the balcony and see her husband’s car and her daughter’s car hit.

Police responded to the scene.
Police responded to the scene.

“The noise was really loud. It was enough to wake me up,” she said.

“It had a big impact, it was very startling. The neighbours said the same thing, they were awake and went WOW and they all came running out straight away.”

Ms Pavlou said the people were still there when she looked at the balcony but fled by the time she went downstairs.

“I didn’t know the extent of it or that my husband’s car had been rammed into my daughters,” she said.

“By the time everyone got out the people fled.”

More to come.
