A Queensland OnlyFans creator claims her boyfriend became so obsessed with her online persona that she had to dump him.

Hayley Summers, 22, said she often worried about what partners might think about her online identity, choosing not to reveal her occupation during a first date.

Despite only lasting three months, one relationship in particular blurred the lines between personal and professional, she says.

“I didn’t tell him at first what I do for work because you just really never know how they’re going to respond. I’ve had negative and positive reactions, I just kind of wait a little bit before telling them so that they get to know me properly,” Ms Summers said.

“After about a month I told him because I didn’t want to lie. He took it really well.

“He started asking questions, more questions than someone would normally ask, so I was like, ‘oh god, here we go’. He wanted to know everything, he wanted to see all of my content.”

This is when Ms Summers says things took an uncomfortable turn.

“He was constantly asking for nudes, for videos, and it just got a bit much,” she said.

“It was becoming the complete focus of who he thought I was.”

The final straw was when he became so obsessed with her online persona that he would not stop looking at her account, even when physically with Ms Summers.

“We were just watching TV and he’s acting so weird. I looked at his phone and he was literally scrolling on my OnlyFans page,” she said.

“I said ‘I don’t think I can do this anymore. I think the way you feel towards my work is probably not healthy. I know that you feel very positively towards it, and I love that you’re accepting … I think you’re getting a bit too obsessed’.

“He just wanted to film everything all the time.

“To me, it’s work, and to have it impact my personal life, so heavily, I was just like … ‘I can’t do it’.”

While she is grateful for the flexibility the industry offers, Ms Summers admitted working as an adult content creator often came with unrealistic expectations about what she does.

“The only negative side of the job is that you never know how someone’s going to respond or judge you,” she said.

“They can think you have a huge sex drive, and you’re a nymphomaniac, you’re fake, you’re disgusting.

“It just goes two ways, so that’s been the biggest challenge for me personally.”
