A man in his 70s has died after his car crashed into a parked vehicle in Marsden, south of Brisbane, last week, prompting a public appeal from police.

Emergency services were called to Browns Plains Road about 1.25pm on Thursday, July 11, after a red Hyundai i30 collided with a stationary blue Toyota Camry.

The driver and sole occupant of the Hyundai, a 74-year-old Hillcrest man, was transported to hospital with serious injuries.

Police confirmed he has since died.

No one else was injured in the incident.

Detectives from the Forensic Crash Unit are continuing to investigate and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.

“Any witnesses, and anyone with dashcam vision of the crash or the events following the crash, is urged to contact police,” QPS said.
