A young man is in a critical condition after being trapped following a single-vehicle crash into a tree sparking traffic delays in Brisbane’s east.
Paramedics rushed to the serious single-vehicle crash at the intersection of Manly Road and Wondall Road, Manly West at 3:45pm, with crews working to free a man from the vehicle.
The man in his 20s was entrapped in the ute by his legs and was in a critical condition.
Police have started to close off the eastbound lanes of Manly Road with motorists urged to find alternative routes.
Delays have already spiked to 20 minutes heading eastbound along Manly Road, and alternative routes were in place.
