Man dies, woman injured in crash at Ringtail Creek north of Noosa

A man has died after the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree in the Noosa region on Saturday afternoon.

A man has died after the car he was driving left the road and crashed into a tree near Noosa.

Emergency services attended the scene along Louis Bazzo Drive at Ringtail Creek just after 5pm, where the 76-year-old Traveston man was declared dead.

A 46-year-old female passenger was taken to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

Initial investigations indicate the car crossed the wrong side of the road before it left the roadway.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances around the crash and have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed, seen or with relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
