A man in his 70s is fighting for life after he was hit by a vehicle north of Brisbane on Tuesday morning.

An elderly man has been rushed to hospital in Brisbane after he was hit by a car at Morayfield.

A man in his 70s is fighting for life after he was hit by a vehicle north of Brisbane on Tuesday morning.

Emergency services were called to the incident on Clark Rd and Summerstone Boulevard at Morayfield just after 6am.

The Queensland Ambulance Service said the elderly pedestrian was treated at the scene for a chest injury and was in a critical condition.

He has been taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital

The Forensic Crash Unit is enroute to the scene.
