Two police officers have been injured after being caught up in a crash involving a luxury sports car in Brisbane’s inner north.

The crash happened at the intersection of Gerler Rd and Nudgee Rd, Hendra, about 8am on Tuesday.

The driver and sole occupant of a Honda Civic, a 17-year-old Bracken Ridge youth, was issued a traffic infringement for failing to give way.

It is understood the Honda collided with a McLaren supercar as a result of the impact with the police vehicle.

A senior constable and constable in the police vehicle were taken to the Royal Brisbane Women’s Hospital for assessment.
