Spectacular photos have emerged of keen surfer Hemsworth charging huge waves that hit South East Queensland and northern NSW on Good Friday.
The Byron Bay-based Hollywood star took to Instagram on Saturday to post the pics of him surfing a mystery break with good mates, former pro surfers Bede Durbidge and Luke Munro.
Hemsworth was propelled into the monster swells by jet ski.
“Getting the big rig’s heart rate up yesterday!” Munro, who also posted the pics, commented in an Instagram story.
“Wave of the day brother.”
“Charging that hard mate,” Durbidge added with high five and flame emojis.
Surfers including former world surfing champ Gabriel Medina were among hundreds to comment on Hemsworth’s post and congratulate him for taking on the big waves.
