A Brisbane physiotherapist has been charged with sexual assault after allegedly abusing two women while at work.

Police will allege the 60-year-old man committed the offences against two adult women between August and December, 2022, at an Oxley business where he worked as a physiotherapist.

Following extensive investigations, detectives from Acacia Ridge Criminal Investigation Branch searched an address on October 7 and charged the man.

Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Justin Suffolk urged anyone with more information, or who had similar interactions, to come forward.

“Crimes of this nature are a reprehensible breach of trust, and police are committed to pursuing every avenue of investigation to seek justice for the victim-survivors,” he said.

“I commend all victim-survivors who come forward and help police hold perpetrators to account for the full extent of the harm they have inflicted.

“I want to reassure victim-survivors and you are not alone, and that there are support services available to you.

“We encourage anyone who has information to provide in relation to this investigation to come forward directly to us or anonymously to Crimestoppers.”

The man has been charged with two counts of sexual assault and will face Richlands Magistrates Court on October 22.

Investigations are ongoing and police are providing support to those involved.
