A new 63,000-seat stadium at Victoria Park is in as the final 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games venues and infrastructure plan is revealed.
Premier David Crisafulli and Deputy Premier and Infrastructure Minister Jarrod Bleijie unveiled the highly-anticipated outcomes of the independent panel’s 100-day review at The Courier-Mail’s Future Brisbane event on Tuesday.
Events in 2032 will be hosted across the southeast and as far as North Queensland in a mix of new, existing and upgraded venues.
The final make-up of sports will be confirmed next year.

CONFIRMED VENUES FOR THE 2032 OLYMPIC AND PARALYMPIC GAMES
OPENING AND CLOSING CEREMONIES, ATHLETICS: Brisbane Stadium at Victoria Park, with 63,000 seats planned at an estimated cost of $3.78bn, excluding associated precinct and transport infrastructure costs.
SWIMMING DIVING, WATER POLO AND ARTISTIC: New $650m aquatic centre at the existing Centenary Pool at Spring Hill
ROWING: Rockhampton’s Fitzroy River
TENNIS: Queensland Tennis Centre
BASKETBALL: Preliminary games on the Gold Coast, with the final at the Boondall Entertainment Centre
HOCKEY: Upgraded Gold Coast Hockey Centre
SAILING: Split between waters off Townsville and the Whitsundays
TRIATHLON: Gold Coast
PADDLE EVENTS: Redland Whitewater Centre
EQUESTRIAN: Toowoomba Showgrounds
CYCLING: Anna Meares Velodrome
BMX: The BMX Supercross Track at Anna Meares Velodrome
ARCHERY: Maryborough
FOOTBALL: Barlow Park in Cairns and Queensland Country Bank Stadium in Townsville

NEW LOGAN INDOOR SPORTS CENTRE: Could host badminton, basketball, futsal, netball and volleyball and para-sports such as sitting volleyball and wheelchair basketball.
NEW CITY OF MORETON BAY INDOOR SPORTS CENTRE: Could be used for basketball, netball, volleyball, badminton, futsal, wheelchair rugby and pickleball
