Princess Mary is setting the gold standard for chic royals.

Attending a traditional January 1 event at at Christian VII’s Palace, Amalienborg, in Copenhagen with dapper-looking husband Prince Frederik, the Tasmanian-born princess turned heads in her stunning sheer-sleeved gold and black gown topped with crystal earrings and a sparkling tiara.

Also attending the event were Prince Frederik’s brother, Prince Joachim, and his wife Princess Marie.

The New Year’s Day banquet was hosted by Queen Margrethe.
