Mr Hodgman’s appointment to the top diplomatic post was announced in November and he has since relocated to Singapore with his family.
Tasmania’s 45th premier resigned from state parliament last January, initially accepting a role as the Inaugural Chair of the Australian Business Growth Fund.
Shadow Foreign Affairs Minister Penny Wong slammed Mr Hodgman’s Singapore role as a “jobs for mates appointment”.
