Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has officially opened Hobart’s new urgent care clinic.
Mr Albanese, Premier Jeremy Rockliff and federal and local MPs visited the Bathurst Street clinic this morning.
They toured the facility, spoke with staff and patients; including a boy who had a fractured his arm after a scooter accident.
Mr Albanese has pledged to work with the state government further on improving Tasmanias health system, noting that every state faced unique challenges.
He said he was cooperating, not bickering, with Mr Rockliff on the issue.
In a press conference, the Prime Minister faced questions on the Voice referendum, Qantas, national energy policy and the proposed Hobart stadium.
Mr Albanese is expected to travel to Launceston this afternoon.
