The Liberal Party has been accused of playing petty politics after it released a message sent to it containing details of passcodes for the Labor Party’s election headquarters.
The message had passcodes for a side door and alarm for the premises at the front of a Hobart building.
It is believed the message was sent to volunteers. It advised people what to bring with them to the campaign headquarters.
The Liberals sent the message to the Sunday Tasmanian saying it was “sent by a source in Labor HQ”.
A Labor spokesman said: “You’d think Jeremy Rockliff’s Liberals would have something better to focus on than this, but sadly, it’s just more of the same.”
He said Labor was focused on its “plan for a fresh start for Tasmania”.
“After 11 years of the Liberals, Tasmania’s budget is wrecked, our hospitals are at breaking point and thousands of young people are leaving for jobs on the mainland.”
