A Gold Coast driver has had to embarrassingly call the police on herself after taking a wrong turn and becoming stuck in an awkward spot.

A car has embarrassingly become stuck on the Gold Coast tram tracks after the driver apparently took a wrong turn.
The incident happened near the Main Beach tram stop on the northbound Gold Coast Highway about 7pm.
The incident caused havoc, with trams in both direction blocked and traffic disrupted.
Police said the female driver had called police herself and the car was removed safely from the tram line.
No-one was hurt.
