UPDATE 2.30PM: Two people have managed to escape serious injury after a caravan flipped on the Stuart Highway, 20km south of Pine Creek.
Police have confirmed no one was seriously injured in the single-vehicle crash on the Stuart Highway south of Pine Creek on Monday morning.
A NT Police spokesman said the highway crash resulted in a man and a woman suffering non-serious injuries.
Images shared to social media showed the car and caravan had completely flipped over by the force of the single-vehicle crash.
The highway, which was closed for hours after the crash at 11.17am, was cleared and open to traffic just after 2pm.
Motorists are advised to drive with care.
INITIAL: Police are responding to a second major Stuart Highway crash near Pine Creek, less than 24 hours after a young man lost his life on the roads.
NT Police have confirmed that emergency services were called to respond to a single vehicle crash, 20km south of Pine Creek at 11.17am, Monday.
“The outbound lane is currently blocked and all motorists are advised to travel with caution and obey all traffic diversions that are in place,” a police spokesman said.
This is only 40km south of a fatal head-on collision which killed a 19-year-old man, and left one person in a critical condition and another two injured.
