A man has been chastised for his “vulgar” harassment of some of Australia’s top politicians including Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Opposition leader Peter Dutton and NSW Premier Chris Minns.

Small business manager Kadirhan Ilgun branded Mr Albanese a “bastard f----t” and claimed he would commit genocide on Marrickville St in the PM’s electorate of Grayndler.

Ilgun, of Lidcombe, was sentenced in Burwood Local Court this month after he pleaded guilty to three counts of using a carriage service to menace, harass or offend.

Court documents obtained by this publication state the deplorable offending occurred in October, 2024, with Mr Albanese the first politician in 40-year-old Ilgun’s sights.

“Mardi Gras f----t f----t f----t you have betrayed the state and you will continue to be so,” Ilgun wrote in Turkish via Mr Albanese’s website on 5 October.

“I will cut alive and dead in shocks so that the people of Australia will know that a bastard f----t like you will now be be a genocide.

“I will do this on Marrickville Street and with the ungrateful ones who voted for you! Kind Regards KADIRHAN iLGUN”

The court documents state as well as the “kind regards” sign off, Ilgun also left his phone number and mail address.

The following day Ilgun, via the same method, contacted Jim Chalmers’ office and called the federal treasurer a “son of a f----t f----t bastard”.

“I thought you knew what one plus one was! Glass bastard! I’ll throw you out of the top floor window of Lidcombe Carter St with rubbish up your ass! Pimp son!

“Who are you to want to leave our king’s power bastard, I will kill you privarely (sic)! I sealed you as a traitor to the state, you bastard! KING REGARDS KADIRHAN ILGUN.”

Documents state in the following weeks Ilgun contacted Mr Dutton via his website, stating: “YOUR DEATH WILL COME FROM MY HANDS.” and Mr Minns’ office who he emailed “YOU YOUR FAMILY YOUR DNA WILL BE KILLED OFF” 15 times.

Ilgun also emailed the office of now ousted NSW Transport Minister Jo Haylen with the subject line translated from Turkish reading “Two w----s who betrayed the state, you will be executed”.

The subsequent message included horrific graphic detail, misogynistic ranting and a vague reference to former premier Barry O’Farrell.

Ilgun also pleaded guilty to drug possession - namely 0.5g of meth - which police picked up during a traffic stop near Sydney Olympic Park in August, 2024.

In court, Magistrate Jennifer Price heard there were multiple entries on Ilgun’s record including drug offences, common assault and, as recently as 2020, intimidation.

“The prevalence of the threatening use of language is increasingly common in our society,” Ms Price said as she handed down her sentence.

“There has been a reduction for respect for our social discourse. It needs to occur in a way that is not vulgar.”

In addition to the ICO, Ilgun was ordered to complete 75 hours of community service.
