Sydney commuters are facing delays on Monday morning as a power outage disrupts key sections of the city’s light rail network.
On the L1 Dulwich Hill line, no trams are running between Convention and Central stations, while the L2 Randwick and L3 Kingsford lines have suspended services between Central and Circular Quay.
Buses are now replacing the L1 Light Rail services between The Star and Central.
“Light Rail services were not running between Convention and Central, but replacement buses are now running,” a Transport NSW spokeswoman said.
“L2 Randwick Line and L3 Kingsford Line services are still not running between Central and Circular Quay.
“Passengers are advised to catch a train or consider walking instead.
“Services are still running between Dulwich Hill and The Star, between Central and Randwick and between Central and Juniors Kingsford.”
Transport authorities are urging passengers to plan ahead, consider alternative transport options, and allow extra time for their journeys.
