One-year-old girl suffers serious burns to chest and arms at Central Coast home

A one-year-old girl is in a serious but stable condition after sustaining significant burns to her chest and arms at a property on the Central Coast.

A toddler has been hospitalised with serious injuries after suffering burns at a home on the NSW Central Coast overnight.

Emergency services were called to a home in Umina shortly before 9pm on Tuesday following reports a child had been injured.

Paramedics arrived to find a one-year-old girl with significant burns to her chest and arms.

She was sedated and stabilised at the scene before being rushed to Gosford Hospital.

As of Wednesday morning, the child remains in a serious but stable condition.

Authorities are still working to determine the cause of the burns.
