The top performing primary and secondary schools on the South Coast in this year’s NAPLAN have been revealed.
Oxley College in Burradoo was the highest performing K to 12 school in the South East, with a total score of 607.8.
Frensham School in Mittagong followed, then Frensham School in Mittagong, Chevalier College in Burradoo, and Southern Highlands Christian School in Bowral.
Further north in the Illawarra, The Illawarra Grammar School in Wollongong West was the highest performing facility with a total score of 685.2.
This was followed by Illawarra Christian School in Cordeaux Heights, St Mary Star of the Sea College in Wollongong, Shellharbour Anglican College in Dunmore, and Cedars Christian College in Unanderra.
The Daily Telegraph’s analysis of the state’s highest performing schools in this year’s NAPLAN has revealed the most improved primary and high schools, and the top performing mainstream schools that outperformed both academically selective and elite private institutions.
Every school’s performance has been analysed by averaging Year 5 and Year 9 students’ reading, writing, spelling, grammar and numeracy results in the 2025 NAPLAN.
