Boxer Nikita Tszyu marries in secret, weeks after brother’s lavish wedding
Two weeks after his brother’s wedding, boxer Nikita Tszyu married his girlfriend in an intimate ceremony just days after making an application before a registrar.

Boxer Nikita Tszyu has tied the knot in a secret ceremony in front of father Kostya, two weeks after his brother Tim’s much bigger wedding.
The youngest member of Australia’s most famous boxing family married girlfriend Nikita Bedwell in a rushed wedding yesterday, with the couple’s respective fathers and the groom’s big brother Tim understood to have been the only witnesses.
When a call was put in to Tszyu’s mother Natalia on Wednesday to ask about the ceremony, she herself had only just discovered her son was about to tie the knot.
“If the couple are happy — I’m blessing them both!” Ms Tszyu told The Daily Telegraph.
Tszyu, 26, has in recent years been making his own waves in the sport in which his father is a legend and his brother a star.
But those close to the family say he has always been a private person who generally shies away from the spotlight, and lets his fighting do the talking.
So private is Tszyu, that he has kept his relationship with Ms Bedwell largely under wraps.
While Ms Bedwell has been ringside at some of her now husband’s, and Tim’s, fights only indistinct photos of her feature in the posts on Tszyu’s Instagram.
The decision of the Nikitas to wed was seemingly so sudden, it required them to make an application before a registrar at Sutherland Local Court on Monday.
Under law, any couple wanting to marry are required to give one calendar month’s notice of their intention to marry but, by fronting the court, Tszyu and Bedwell were able to have that time frame legally shortened.
Nikita’s wedding came two weeks after Tim married long-term partner Alexandra Constantine in a slightly larger ceremony at St Kiril i Metodi Macedonian Orthodox Cathedral in Rosebery.
That ceremony on December 22 began with Tim, Nikita and Kostya shadow boxing in a video later posted to social media.
A fleet of between 50 and 100 luxury cars and high-powered motorbikes then drove the Tszyus in convoy from Tim’s home in Caringbah to the church, with the groom riding in style at the front.
Tim, Nikita and their sister Anastasia continued living with their mother Natalia in Australia after Kostya moved back to his native Russia in 2012.
While in the early years that followed the boxing hall of famer did not have much of a relationship with his children, he flew into Australia last December days before Tim’s wedding to watch his eldest son get married.
After an extended period abroad, Kostya has seemingly reintegrated himself into the lives of his boxing sons in recent years, attending a number of their professional fights including Tim’s two world title bouts in the United States in 2024.
