SYDNEY delivered Adele two Olympic sized crowds as almost 200,000 adoring fans packed ANZ Stadium over two nights.

Last night’s show, her second in two nights at ANZ Stadium, is possibly the biggest the British superstar has performed for, with speculation close to 100,000 fans sang, cheered, laughed and cried with the Rolling In The Deep singer. A total of 95,544 packed into the stadium on Friday night.

The emotion of the two performances, including Adele stopping during a song on Friday night to make sure a woman could be helped by paramedics, was evident as she appeared to tear-up as she left the stage at the end of her show last night to the cheers of her legions of fans.

She had earlier dedicated a song to the fan who is believed to have suffered from a cardiac issue at the previous night’s concert.

“I’d like to sing this song for her tonight,” she said, before launching into her ballad Take It All.

“We don’t know if she’s OK yet, we’re trying to find out.”

A record 95,000 packed into ANZ Stadium last night to see the superstar.

Fortunately, last night’s performance went off without a hitch with the star hitting a lighter note by urging the whole crowd to sing happy birthday to one fan who was celebrating her 50th birthday at the concert.

Penrith woman Debbie Leishman took to Facebook this morning to share her happy moment.

“What a thrill, most amazing 50th birthday present ever. Thank you to the wonderful people who joined in,” she posted.

“Bigger than the Olympics”.

Adele did not fail to impress.

Adele also showed why she’s captured the hearts of millions of fans worldwide — from 50-year-olds to five-year-olds, sweetly accepting a present from a young fan who presented her with a Smiggle gift card on stage. It was for her son.

She was in trademark form from the moment she said “Hello”, keeping the packed stadium in the palm of her hand with down-to-earth wit, wisdom and, of course, supreme talent.

“Everyone ready for a good time?” she asked, with the audience responding with a loud cheer. Then joked: “Tough shit, my songs are all sad!”

In a touching show, Adele even got the entire crowd to sing Happy Birthday to one fan.

Adele also admitted that she swears she’s nervous, dropping the F-bomb and apologising with a cheeky grin as she talked about the inspiration behind her songs.

Crowds didn’t let a little traffic chaos get in the way of seeing Adele, either. Packed trains to the stadium caused significant delays as thousands headed towards ANZ Stadium.

On Friday night, an electrical fault also caused a signal failure at Olympic Park Stadium. Commuters faced delays of up to 20 minutes.

Adele will head to Adelaide next week before finishing up her tour with two dates in Melbourme.
