NT Police investigate 47-year-old man’s death in Maningrida after alleged DV disturbance

Police are investigating the death of a man in a remote NT community.

Territory police are investigating the death of a 47-year-old male in Maningrida on Friday afternoon.

An NT Police spokesperson said about 12.55pm, the Joint Emergency Communication Centre received reports that a man had been identified as unresponsive at his home in the community.

Officers and clinic staff attended, but the man was declared deceased and a crime scene was established.

His cause of death is unknown.

Police say that further investigation identified on Thursday the man had allegedly been involved in a domestic violence disturbance between himself and a male and female known to him.

Investigations are continuing.
