THE Territory’s Covid-19 vaccine rollout is progressing with more than 4000 doses administered to kids aged between 12 and 15.
More than 26 per cent of NT youths in the age group have had their first dose of the vaccine, while more than 4 per cent are fully vaccinated.
The NT was the first jurisdiction to open vaccines to 12 to 15-year-olds.
Health Minister Natasha Fyles said it was encouraging to see so many Territory kids roll up their sleeves.
“We have our NT Health teams working diligently to provide the vaccine in schools, to ensure we are adding an extra layer of protection for younger Territorians,” she said.
“With the arrival of Moderna this week in the Territory, we have even more supplies for Territorians to get vaccinated and to keep the community safe.”
More than 74 per cent of Territorians aged over 16 have received their first dose.
