A 33-year-old man has been hospitalised with leg injuries after the car he was travelling in was shot at on a suburban Territory street.
Northern Territory Police on Tuesday morning said a gun had been fired from outside a Palmerston home on Dillon Cct, Gray, at about 11pm on January 21.
The bullet, police say, hit the side of a trayback single-cab white HiLux that had been passing by on the street.
The 33-year-old passenger of the HiLux suffered injuries to the lower leg and was taken to Palmerston Regional Hospital for treatment.
Police said they had only recently been made aware of the incident, and that the Serious Crime Squad was now investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information regarding the whereabouts of the alleged offenders is urged to contact police.
