The second round of the Territory Tourism Discount Scheme gets underway on Tuesday,
with discounts up to 25 per cent available on tourism products and experiences booked across the Territory between October 1 and March 31.
The discount applies to eligible bookings made through Visitor Information Centres in Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs and Yulara.
Minister for Tourism and Hospitality Marie-Clare Boothby said the program extension benefited Territorians.
“We are extending the Territory Tourism Discount Scheme from two months to six months, and I encourage Territorians to plan ahead by making early bookings,” Ms Boothby said.
“Our tourism industry work incredibly hard, and this is a great way we can support them to get locals and visitors alike back out enjoying the Territory we know and love.”
Available for transactions of up to $5000, the discount will automatically be applied to most tourism products excluding retail items and gift certificates.
Territorians can use the discount as many times as they wish during the booking period.
The scheme is open in the Top End from October 1 for travel undertaken between January 1 to March 31, 2025.
The scheme commenced in Central Australia on September 1 for eligible travel undertaken between October 1 to March 31, 2025.
