THREE men have narrowly escaped catastrophe after walking away from a single vehicle rollover relatively unscathed.
Emergency services responded to reports of the rollover about 60km south of Tennant Creek on Thursday afternoon.
St John NT director of ambulance services Andrew Thomas told ABC Radio a crew travelled down from Tennant Creek to assess three occupants.
“Fortunately, they all had relatively minor injuries but they were all transported back to Tennant Creek hospital for further assessment and treatment,” he said.
With New Year’s Eve approaching, Mr Thomas said the incident was a reminder to wear a seatbelt, drive to the conditions, and not to drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The rollover comes days after NT Police revealed the Christmas Day chaos on NT roads, with more than two dozen crashed recorded in a 24-hour period.
