2025-26 NTFL live stream: Watch Tiwi Bombers v Wanderers in Round 7
The Tiwi Bombers' explosive pace and precision have torn apart Wanderers in a 59-point masterclass, keeping their top-five hopes alive with a third consecutive win. Watch the REPLAY here.
The Tiwi Bombers made a statement as they brought the sting and early intensity to race past Wanderers to make it three wins in a row in Saturday’s clash.
Tiwi needed a big win after a back and forth encounter against Palmerston, and this was exactly the occasion to provide a percentage boost to keep in touch with the top five spots.
The Bombers didn’t always have it their own way but were able to kill the game off when needed to seal a 17.10 (112) to 8.5 (53) win.

The return of brothers Mihail Lochowiak, Anzac Lochowiak and Jacob Lochowiak brought some bulk to the Bombers’ midfield while Ashton Hams and Braedon McLean ran the defensive zone.
That allowed the Tiwi runners to do what they do best with Michael Thompson and Willie Rioli, coming into his own in NT footy again, racing out of the midfield.
Frances Tipungwuti proved the go to man upfront with five to his name while the experience of Rioli showed as when he didn’t play supply man he knocked a few through himself.
Skipper Kim Kantilla was another to set the ground alike with his pace, a trademark of his side, allowing him a route to goal while Brendan Kantilla sent a huge bomb through himself.
Frazer Bradley was the lone ranger for the Wanderers forward line kicking six out of his side’s eight goals in a consistent performance.
It was an important showing for the Muk Muks unlocking a forward who had scored 109 goals across 17 games, including 18 majors in one outing, for Hatherleigh earlier this year.
His efforts were well supported by playing assistant coach Cody Leggett, who has been among the league’s most influential, and Tyler Phillips was all effort in the ruck.
Bradley’s goals allowed the side to stay somewhat in the picture, but it was a mountain to climb and for each of his efforts, even when he had a run in the third quarter, Tiwi had a response.
The Bombers were more clinical when it mattered and late in the third when Anthony Munkara forced his way into the scoring equation they were able to pull away.
And in the final quarter they just continued to pull away with the back six stifling any sniff of a significant Wanderers counter.
“That was an important win for us both to stay in touch with the top five but also when we let it slip a bit in the third we showed we could get back and win it,” Hams said.
“We got the early start that we had been hoping for and then our forward pressure really got us the win, it was a wet game and you never know how that goes but they kept the pressure going.
“Willie came into his own, a local Tiwi man coming back to the club, he doesn’t have to kick too many goals because the leadership he brings and work for our structure is really important.
“And then he helps make our young guys better such as Frances, who’s an absolute freak, having these big leaders around helps him build confidence so he can play his brand.
“We’re at a stage where we don’t just rely on one or two players which is great, I love my back line group at the moment, and we all just enjoy playing together down there.
“A game like this sets us up heading into the bye now with a couple big games at home against Waratah and Nightcliff so it’s a tough end to the year.”

PREVIEW
The Tiwi Bombers are now two wins on the bounce but need to maintain the momentum against a building Wanderers if they’re to hold on to their position among the NTFL’s top sides.
Every moment of the match will be live streamed from 2pm on Saturday by The NT News and KommunityTV as part of our season-long NTFL coverage.
WHY TO WATCH
As it stands, four sides, including the Bombers, have three wins. All of them, except Tiwi, have already had their bye, so consistent wins must now be a priority.
The Bombers managed to see out a true seesawing contest against Palmerston last week, recovering from a 20-point margin midway through the match to claim the win.
It’s not a drop Tiwi will want to have to find their way back from against Wanderers in what could be a game hampered by wet conditions at TIO Stadium.
Tiwi has all their usual excitement machines ready to go with Michael Thompson, Kim Kantilla and Anthony Munkara, along with Jack Steel, all able to hit the scoreboard.
The Wanderers, meanwhile, have struggled for consistency and were well beaten by a Southern Districts side fresh off a bye in their last outing.
But despite the heavy defeat, they were able to find their way to goal more frequently than they have in previous games this season and will be hoping that continues against Tiwi.
Cody Leggett continues to be the man to look out for while Tyler Phillips has more than held his own in the ruck battles.
