Event organisers said the Diwali celebration is open to all and will include sparklers and lamp lighting to symbolise the eliminating of darkness and embracing the light.

“This vibrant event offers an opportunity for people of all backgrounds to gather, connect, and share in one of India’s most cherished traditions,” a spokesperson said.

“As a special treat, the celebration will culminate in an authentic Indian feast, with an array of vegetarian dishes and traditional sweets, offering everyone a chance to savour the diverse flavours of Indian cuisine.”

Organised by volunteers, the family-friendly event will also feature rangoli designs, intricate artworks created with different coloured powders.

Event organisers say the event would not be possible without the help of volunteers.
