Ten of the best Aussie artists are anxiously anticipating their performance tonight at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in hopes to represent Australia in Eurovision 2019.

TEN of the best Aussie artists are anxiously anticipating their performance tonight at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in hopes to represent Australia in Eurovision 2019.

Brisbane based brother-sister band Sheppard are holding out hope they might take out the win with their hit song On My Way.

“We love it because it’s quite musically complex, but very easily to listen to,” George Sheppard said.

While his sister, Amy Sheppard, said she’s incredibly nervous for their performance tonight.

Last night a jury of experts voted for their favourite to represent Australia, and tonight the public have their say.

The winning artist will get to represent Australia at the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds in Israel.

About 2500 spectators are expected to watch the show live from the Convention Centre, with thousands more watching from home on SBS.

Comedian Joel Creasey and radio host Myf Warhurst will host the selection contest, and Australian singer Dami Im, who came second in Eurovision 2016 in Sweden with her hit Sound of Silence, will be performed at half time.

This year is the fifth year Australia is competing in Eurovision, and the first time it has been televised on the Coast.
