A MANOORA man accused of indecently assaulting a young girl while she slept will reappear in court next week.
Yesterday in the Cairns Magistrates Court Ian Douglas Paulauskas was remanded in custody on five offences.
He is charged with burglary with intent, indecent treatment of a child under 16 and going an indecent act in a public place over allegations on August 7.
The 30-year-old was allegedly committing an indecent act while walking on balconies at a Greenslopes St unit block at Edge Hill before entered a Pease St home and trying to assault a teen girl while she slept.
The girl woke and challenged the man, a stranger, who left.
He is also facing charges of stealing and being a public nuisance in a licensed venue on July 26.
Matters were adjourned to August 13.
