The shocking attack that left one Australian dead and another wounded may involve three suspects.

Indonesian police arrested three men police say are from Australia on Tuesday.

If charged with murder, Bali police have confirmed they could face the death penalty under Indonesian law if found guilty over the murder of Zivan Radmanovic, 32.

Another man, Sanar Ghanim, was shot in the leg during the violence at a luxury villa in Badung, Bali, on Saturday morning.

One of the men arrested has been confirmed as Darcy Francesco Jenson, 37, a plumber from Sydney, while a second man has been named as Coskun Melvut.

A third man arrested has been named as Tupou Pasa Midolmore, 37.

One suspect was in Jakarta on Tuesday while a second man was arrested in Singapore.

He was allegedly attempting to head another jurisdiction from there.

Indonesian police identified the suspects by Sunday, about 24 hours after the violence erupted.

It is unclear what made these men people of interest.

Local law enforcement are yet to clarify whether the shootings were the result of spontaneous conflict or an organised hit.

Bali Police Chief Inspector General Daniel Adityajaya told media a multi-agency investigation had led to the arrests of three Australians, with the initials D, (organiser), T (first gunman) and C (second gunman).

“One (was) arrested in Soekarno Hatta Airport when he tried to leave Indonesia,” Mr Adityajaua said.

“Two others have been flying... leaving Indonesia, and can be taken back to Indonesia because of interpol cooperation with Indonesia.”

“We have found the vehicles that have been used by the perpetrator(s)....”

He said investigators believed a scooter and a car were used in the attempt to flee overseas.

“But we successfully arrest him at the airport, in cooperation with (the) national police’s general crime unit, Immigration and Indonesian Police’s international division, Interpol and with police from another country.”

“Last night we have apprehended three suspects (who reside) from overseas.”

Mr Adityajaya said investigators would conduct an “interrogation” of those arrested.

“So, today, we can confirm (to) you that three suspects have been arrested and we have seized some evidence (that was) allegedly used for the crime.”

Mr Adityajaya also described what was the believed escape plan of the suspects.

“First, they go on motorbike, then change it with car that was found in Tabanan area, and then change their car with XL7 to Surabaya.

“They later try to go overseas through Soekarno Hatta Airport.

But he said that due to the joint operation with Metro Jaya Police and the National Police crime unit, the suspects were prevented from leaving Indonesia.

“They may be charged with article 340 of Criminal Code on premeditated murder that carries a maximum death penalty.”

Investigators are still looking for the weapons used.
