“Thanks your honour,” was all he said when Magistrate Robert Williams told him he could head back to the cells.

Defence lawyer Sebastian De Brennan didn’t apply for bail and the matter was adjourned to March 19.

The 45-year-old Kihara was arrested on Sunday after police were called to a Redfern unit block about 9.25pm following reports a woman had been thrown from a first-floor balcony.

The 39-year-old woman suffered bone fractures and was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

While police were investigating, another man, alleged to be Jeremy Little, took to a police car with a cricket bat.

A shirtless Little appeared via videolink and was flighty in his seat waiting for Magistrate Roberts Williams to deal with his wilful damage charge.

After being addressed by the magistrate, Little apologised for not wearing a shirt.

“I was wearing a nightshirt and took it off because I was hot but I ripped it,” he said.

“And they won’t give me another shirt.”

Little was released on bail and is due to appear back in court on February 4.
