WHEN US superstar Katy Perry heard young Adelaide fan Grace Moores was too ill to attend one of her concerts this week, she decided to bring the show to Grace.

The Teenage Dream singer spent an hour visiting the eight-year old, who’s battling brain cancer, at their Banksia Park home on Tuesday afternoon, performing three songs for the courageous young girl and her family.

Grace received tickets to Perry’s Monday night show for her birthday last year, but was unable to attend after undergoing a second major operation last Wednesday.

Grace’s older sister, Tiana, started a social media campaign to organise a meeting with Perry and after more than 20,000 retweets, the US megastar surprised Grace before her third and final Adelaide show.

“When Katy arrived out the front, Grace was a bit shell-shocked. She was just in awe, the smile on her face was just priceless,” Grace’s mum Marie told The Advertiser.

“Katy is the most down-to-earth, genuine person you could meet.

“She asked about Grace and how she was going with her treatment, and she asked Grace to show her her bedroom and have a look around.

“Then she asked Grace to pick three songs and she sang them, she had two guitarists in her band with her.

“She’s definitely walking on cloud nine this morning. It’s definitely given all of us a bit of a lift.”

Perry spent time with the whole Moores family, including father Dale, Billy, 17, Tiana, 16, Aleysha, 13, and youngest daughter Chloe, 6, posing for photos and selfies — and even sharing a video of Grace with her more than 70 million followers.

“It’s just been surreal, this morning we’re all like, ‘Did that really happen?’

“Just for someone like her to take that time out of her day to make all Grace’s dreams come true, has just put a whole new spin on the really crap year we’ve had so far.

“She really is about her fans. Just the way she spoke to all of my kids, she’s really heartfelt and a really genuine, nice person, which is great to know isn’t it?

“When you meet a role model for your children who is actually a good role model, it’s special.”
