Man charged in Fairfield woman’s alleged domestic violence murder
A man has been charged after a woman was found dead in a western Sydney unit. Police discovered the grisly scene after they were called to carry out a welfare check.

A man has been charged with murder after police found a woman dead in a Fairfield unit on Monday.
Police will allege the attack was domestic violence related and said the 60-year-old man was known to the woman. He was arrested at the home and taken to Fairfield Police Station where he was charged and refused bail.
The 42 year-old woman was found with multiple critical injuries after police and paramedics were called to the unit in Nelson Street, Fairfield at 12.10pm on Monday following a concern for welfare report.
She died at the scene.
NSW Police were unable to comment on the nature or cause of the injuries.
“Officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command have established a crime scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident,” police said in a statement.
The man will face Fairfield Local Court today, Tuesday December 1.
