Joining The Killers at Queensland Country Bank Stadium, multi-ARIA award-winning band JET are booked to rock out in front of Townsville crowds.
Performing on November 30th, the Aussie rockers say they are trilled to be joining The Killers in North Queensland.
Consisting of frontman Nic Cester, guitarist Cameron Muncey, bassist Mark Wilson and drummer Chris Cester, the band are known for hits such as ‘Are You Gonna Be My Girl’, ‘Rollover DJ’ and ‘Look What You’ve Done’.
The musicians are close to reaching 10 times platinum in Australia for their debut album Get Born, which came out in 2003.
Their second album Shine On was released in 2006 and featured songs such as ‘Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is’.
To mark 20 years of their debut album, JET last year embarked on their first shows in five years.
JET said they were excited to be returning to Townsville and performing with The Killers.
“The Killers are a fantastic live band. We performed alongside them at the Big Day Out in 2007, so this will be a fun reunion,” the band said.
“Townsville is such a beautiful city … it’s been 15 years since we last played there so we’re really looking forward to getting back.”
The Melbourne-based band formed in 2001 and have sold more than 6.5 million albums across the world and last year were inducted into the Aria Hall of Fame.
Kicking off their seven-date Australian tour in Townsville, The Killers will perform in the city for the first time ever much to the delight of North Queensland music fans.
The Killers with special guest JET will perform at Queensland Country Bank Arena on November 30.
