A huge new development with a $25m price tag overlooking the Townsville marina is set to revolutionise living in the Townsville CBD.
Dubbed Infinity Townsville, the 12-storey tower is the second development on the waterfront to be actioned by Urbancom and managing director George Daoud.
The company took over the old Adventurers Resort at 73 Palmer St earlier this year and is already in the process of turning it into a luxury resort for the business-class as well as a high-quality Mediterranean restaurant.
But its striking new development at 39 Palmer St is set to go even further, with the towering construction – and its unique curved facade – aiming to “completely revolutionise luxurious living”.
Each of Infinity’s 12 floors will feature a spacious, extravagant ‘penthouse’ living space, as well as an all-round viewing area to take in the sights of the Townsville waterfront.
“The name infinity was organically derived from the infinity-shaped design the building enjoys, while offering residents infinite view in every direction,” Mr Daoud said.
“The building is a collection of 12 entire-floor, penthouse-style residences over 12 levels.
“Each residence enjoys 360-degree views, massive balconies in every direction, huge living spaces, massive four bedrooms, a secondary kitchen, and three spectacular bathrooms.”
The building’s design has been put together by architect Robert Gizzi and Design Workshop Australia, but negotiations are still ongoing surrounding the construction of the building itself.
Despite workers not having picked up tools yet, prospective buyers looking to secure a place in the tower are still able to explore options using virtual-reality headsets.
“It’s not easy buying off the plan. Trying to make sense of plans, orientation, views, room sizes and furniture positioning,” Mr Daoud said.
“To give buyers peace of mind, we have collaborated with Ivolve studios to virtually emulate every residence as it will be built, giving buyers a clear sense of spatial awareness with finishes and fitments to suit.
“Prospective buyers are fitted with a VR headset and given the opportunity to walk through their respective residences virtually, as though they are physically there. It’s an awesome experience in every way.”
On the current timeline, Urbancom is expecting to have the development completed in August 2025.
