Some of the most talented local junior soccer players have descended on Geelong for the annual Western United Cup.
The largest girls-only tournament in the country, with nearly 100 teams and thousands of participants battling it out in Ballarat last year, returned earlier this month.
But this time the tournament was open to boys aged between eight and 16.
It has connected Western United with around 20 clubs in Geelong and the Surf Coast.
The partnership strengthened in 2019 with the green and blacks playing their maiden match at GMHBA Stadium.
