The PYBAR mining services recovery team was planning to retrieve Mr Goss late last week, but on Wednesday night announced their first attempt at the “complex and challenging exercise” was unsuccessful.

“This is a disappointing outcome, but the team on site has done, and continues to do, everything possible to recover Cameron,” PYBAR CEO Brendan Rouse said.
