Two police officers have been hospitalised after an out-of-control car rammed into them while screeching through a Gold Coast casino carpark.

Two police officers have been hospitalised after an out-of-control car rammed into them while screeching through a Gold Coast casino carpark.
Officers on duty at The Star Casino in Broadbeach were involved in the incident at around 6pm on Tuesday.
A Queensland police statement said the two officers had heard “loud revving, screeching and heavy acceleration” coming from a car in the casino carpark.
The officers approached the ute and directed the driver to stop before the suspect rammed into one of the officers.
The car then sped to the exit of the carpark and stuck the hand of a second officer.
The police statement said pedestrians had to jump out of the way as the driver fled the scene, driving on the wrong side of the road.
Paramedics assessed the two police officers who were taken to Gold Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.
The ute was spotted heading towards Logan.
Police urge anyone with information about the incident or who witnessed the ute driving in the area around the time to call 131 444.
