Surfers Paradise assault

Police are hunting for two men after a savage Surfers Paradise attack which left the victim in hospital and requiring surgery.

A Queensland Police Service (QPS) spokesman said a 25-year-old Varsity Lakes man sustained serious facial injuries when he was attacked almost a fortnight ago on Trickett Street.

The victim was approached by two men about 11.25pm on September 14 and assaulted.

According to the QPS spokesman the males took off before police arrived on scene.
