A woman has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after her motorbike collided with a car in Numinbah Valley.

The woman suffered neck, chest, abdominal and pelvis injuries in the crash, which took place on Nerang Murwillumbah Road at 1.24pm on Sunday.

A Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) spokesperson said she had been taken to Gold Coast University Hospital (GCUH) with the “potentially life-threatening” injuries.

The crash was one of a number on the Gold Coast on Sunday afternoon.

A bicycle rider was taken to GCUH by QAS paramedics in stable condition after a collision with a vehicle on Japonica Drive in Palm Beach at 2.17pm.

An accident at the other end of the city at about the same time saw two further people taken to the hospital.

In that incident, emergency services were called to the intersection of Behms Road and Pimpama Jacobs Well Road in Jacobs Well at 2.20pm.

A QAS spokesperson said three people had been assessed at the scene, with two taken stable to GCUH.

One had suffered a lower back injury, while the other had an injured hand.

At Tamborine Mountain, a second motorcycle rider was taken to GCUH, in this case in a stable condition, after an accident on Tamborine Mountain Road at 3.16pm.
