Two Matildas players are putting the next generation of aspiring young girls through their paces - and sharing insights on their pro football journeys - at a Gold Coast clinic.
Matildas Chloe Logarzo and Emily Gielnik are bring their Future Baller clinic to the Broadbeach United Football Club on Sunday.
The session combines soccer drills to hone skills as well as Logarzo and Gielnik sharing their personal journey to becoming professional athletes and the mental challenges they’ve overcome.
Logarzo, 30, said the clinics were born after the pair missed spots in the squad for the World Cup in 2023.
“We always wanted to give more than just being on the pitch and to be able to help any person with their mental health is incredible,” she said.
“If they become a footballer, that is great but if they come away from the clinic and they’ve learnt something to be better and more resilient, that is a massive win for us.”
Gielnik, 33, said it was rare for two Matildas players to run a clinic sharing their story and how they became professional athletes.
“We highlight how the girls can build confidence and push through adversity and that is a major focal point in the clinic that separates us from any other clinics,” she said.
Participants receive Future Baller merchandise, a mindset journal and an online session with sport leadership and mindset coach Monica Beazley.
Tickets for Sunday’s clinic are still available and can be purchased at futureballer.com.au
